Ready to list? One of the first things I will do before putting your house on the market is advise you on how to prepare your house for sale. I want to be able to show your house in its best light to maximize your earning potential. I will tour your house with the eye of a buyer and discuss with you what works and what doesn't.
Curb Appeal
Does your house have curb appeal? First impressions are very important. If a buyer drives by or views a photo in an ad or on the internet, the homes curb appeal can help them decide whether they want to view that home further. Your home may look amazing on the inside but if it doesn’t attract the buyer on the outside, it may not even be considered! Curb appeal can give your home a competitive edge over other homes on the market.
Staging
Before the first buyer walks through your door, I'll show you how to set the stage. I'll help you eliminate anything that gives the appearance of clutter. We also need to "de-personalize" the house so buyers can imagine it as their home. Say to yourself, "This is not my home; it is a house -- a product to be sold much like an item on a store shelf." Reviewing your home room-by-room, I will make recommendations that impact the sale. I'll suggest any pieces of furniture that should be removed, rooms that might need new paint, carpet that needs to be changed or cleaned, fixtures that need polishing, windows that need cleaning, and any other improvement that can easily be made to promote the sale.
